1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website at bettercleaning.ca or using our cleaning services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services

Better Cleaning Company provides residential cleaning services in Brampton, Ontario and surrounding areas. Our services include recurring cleaning (weekly, biweekly, or monthly), one-time deep cleans, and optional add-on services (inside fridge, inside oven, interior windows, laundry). All services are performed by independent cleaning professionals vetted by Better Cleaning Company.

3. Quotes and Pricing

Quotes provided through our online calculator are estimates based on the information you provide (home size, number of pets, frequency, and add-ons). Final pricing may be adjusted after an initial assessment if the actual conditions differ significantly from what was described. We will always communicate any pricing changes before performing the service.

All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes unless otherwise stated.

4. Booking and Scheduling

After submitting a quote request, we will contact you to schedule your first cleaning. Bookings are confirmed once a date and time have been mutually agreed upon. You will receive a confirmation via email and/or SMS.

5. Cancellation and Rescheduling

We understand plans change. Please notify us at least 24 hours before your scheduled cleaning if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made less than 24 hours in advance may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service price.

If we need to cancel or reschedule your appointment for any reason, we will provide at least 24 hours' notice and work with you to find an alternative time at no additional cost.

6. Payment

Payment is due at the time of service or as otherwise agreed. We accept payment through our secure online payment system (powered by Stripe). For recurring services, your payment method will be charged automatically according to your agreed schedule.

If a payment fails, we will notify you and attempt to process the payment again. Services may be paused if payment is not received within 7 days of the scheduled charge date.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee

We stand behind the quality of our work. If you are not satisfied with a cleaning, please contact us within 24 hours of the service. We will arrange a re-clean of the specific areas at no additional charge. If you are still not satisfied after the re-clean, we will issue a full refund for that service.

8. Access to Your Home

You agree to provide safe and reasonable access to your home for our cleaning professionals at the scheduled time. This includes securing pets in a safe area during the cleaning, ensuring a safe working environment, and providing any necessary keys, codes, or access instructions.

If our cleaning professional cannot access your home at the scheduled time and you have not given at least 24 hours' notice, a lockout fee may apply.

9. Liability and Insurance

Better Cleaning Company carries comprehensive general liability insurance and WSIB (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board) coverage for all cleaning professionals. In the unlikely event of accidental damage during a cleaning:

  • Please report any damage within 24 hours of the service
  • We will assess the damage and, if caused by our team, arrange for repair or replacement up to a reasonable value
  • Claims exceeding our standard coverage limits will be handled through our insurance provider

We are not liable for damage to items of extraordinary value (antiques, artwork, jewelry, etc.) unless you have notified us in advance and we have agreed to special handling.

10. Independent Contractors

Cleaning professionals who provide services through Better Cleaning Company are independent contractors, not employees. They are responsible for their own taxes, equipment, and supplies (unless otherwise arranged). Better Cleaning Company facilitates the connection between clients and cleaning professionals and ensures quality standards are met.

11. Service Area

We currently serve the Brampton, Ontario area and select surrounding neighborhoods. Service availability is determined by postal code at the time of booking. We are actively expanding our service area and will notify waitlisted customers when their area becomes available.

12. Intellectual Property

All content on our website — including text, images, logos, and software — is the property of Better Cleaning Company and is protected by Canadian copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

13. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
